What’s in my Uni Bag?
Today’s blog, recommended by you as an audience on Instagram, will allow you all to have a sneak peek of what the inside of my uni bag looks like! Whether you are looking for some inspiration to ensure you have all of your essentials with you when starting university or just out of curiosity. Here is my ‘uni survival kit’ which holds all items I feel are required to stay fresh, focused and organised throughout your uni schedule.
Firstly, in terms of beauty and cosmetics, I tend to carry a mini ‘glow’ pouch in my bag to allow myself to have a little mid-day refresh, as early mornings and long commutes to university can feel tiresome and afterwards, a boost may be needed. Included in this I keep a travel-size deodorant and a travel-size perfume (a personal favourite - it’s mine by Verset Parfums, mentioned in my previous blog). A quick spritz in between classes can help revive that freshness. A must have which I always carry on me at all times is a carmex, to help keep your lips soft throughout the day to reduce any risks of dryness, as well as a mini hairbrush to keep the hair tamed and frizz-free on those wet, winter mornings.
Next, in terms of well-being, I refuse to leave the house without my ‘Stanley dupe’ reusable water bottle! These are a holy grail in keeping hydrated throughout the day and help me stay concentrated. These can be found in local retailers such as the Range, Home Bargains, B&M and many others I just have not purchased from yet, These are affordable water bottles typically not any more expensive than just £10, in comparison to Stanley products which are typically not suited for students in terms of good budgeting. I also keep some medication in my bag, as headaches do not care about your timetable! Water and painkillers are vital to have in your bag if you tend to live the student social life and enjoy going out throughout the week, to cure those hangovers.
An item I often use throughout my week which I cannot leave behind are my AirPods! These are useful for study breaks, when listening to a podcast or blocking out the noise in the library. Another useful item is having tissues on stand-by! No matter what the season, whether it’s suffering from the cold and flu or allergy season, tissues are a must. Another important item to carry in your bag is a phone charger/power bank. As the majority of tasks we do today require internet usage, your phone can experience a high volume of battery loss throughout your day, especially if you are travelling from far. Finally, I carry my student ID card in my bag at all times as this helps me gain access to the library, lifts and particular floors inside of the building. This way if I decide to go shopping after university…I can use my student discount too!
It is important to have an organised university bag to ensure that you have all the things you need to reflect your personality and for you to enjoy your day at uni whilst feeling fresh and focused. A helpful tip for all students to feel prepared is to pack your bag the night before as you may feel more rushed in the morning which can lead to you forgetting your most important glow products! Now out of curiosity, what’s in your uni bag? Make sure to let me know in the comments or through my Instagram page @studentglowguide.
